About Centre
Fields of Activity:
Centre for the Maritime Economics Studies is an interfaculty organizational unit of the University of Gdańsk. It conducts interdisciplinary activities encompassing scientific and implementation-oriented research, applied research, business consulting for maritime economy stakeholders, project implementation support, and education based on a holistic approach to the maritime economy.
The Centre carries out research and advisory projects in both domestic and international markets, working in cooperation with and on behalf of:
- Businesses, including shipowners, seaports, logistics companies, shipbuilding enterprises, offshore industry stakeholders, and the yacht and maritime tourism sectors;
- International organizations;
- Government institutions, chambers of commerce, and industry associations;
- Universities and research centres in Poland and abroad.
Centre for the Maritime Economics Studies serves as a platform for interdisciplinary research, innovation, and collaboration, bringing together academia, industry, and public institutions to address the challenges and opportunities of the maritime economy.
