The mission of the Centre for the Maritime Economics Studies at the University of Gdańsk is to support the development and strengthen the competitive position of maritime sector organisations, both in domestic and international markets, by integrating advanced academic knowledge with best business practices.
The Centre actively supports the development of blue economy stakeholders by serving as:
1. A collaboration forum for maritime economy entities – bringing together the potential of academia and business, fostering the exchange of knowledge, experience, and innovative solutions.
2. A research and project support hub – initiating and supporting interdisciplinary research and scientific projects related to the maritime sector.
3. A regulatory and information platform – providing up-to-date knowledge, analyses, and recommendations concerning the legal, economic, and environmental aspects of the maritime economy.
