A new publication titled Education for Sustainable Development: Offshore Wind Energy has been released; it is the result of work by students of the postgraduate program of the same name, conducted at the University of Gdańsk’s Centre for Sustainable Development.
This publication—available in both print and electronic formats—was issued by FNCE Scientific Publishers in collaboration with the Clean Energy Foundation (Fundacja na Rzecz Czystej Energii), Polenergia S.A., and Univentum Labs, a special-purpose vehicle of the University of Gdańsk.
The academic editors of this collective work are Sylwia Mrozowska, PhD, DSc (Professor at the University of Gdańsk and Director of the UG Centre for Sustainable Development) and Dorota Pyć, PhD, DSc (Professor at the University of Gdańsk and Head of the Department of Maritime Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration).
The book offers an interdisciplinary perspective on the development of the offshore wind energy sector in Poland, covering a wide range of topics—from legal, economic, and environmental issues to technical aspects and project management. The chapters combine academic knowledge with the authors’ practical experience, demonstrating how education can tangibly support the energy transition and the achievement of sustainable development goals.
The postgraduate program “Education for Sustainable Development: Offshore Wind Energy” is conducted at the University of Gdańsk by the Centre for the Maritime Economics Studies (and previously by the Centre for Sustainable Development). The program is aimed primarily at individuals seeking to enhance their competencies in the offshore sector with a view to achieving sustainable development goals.
