On March 26, 2026, Łukasz Grzelak, a representative of the Centre for the Maritime Economics Studies at the University of Gdańsk, participated in the 14th National Maritime Law Conference. The event was organized at the University of Gdańsk’s Faculty of Law and Administration by the Faculty’s Department of Maritime Law and the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) Gdańsk.

The 14th National Maritime Law Conference, titled “Protection of Ports and Maritime Shipping,” addressed legal issues concerning the security of seaports and the protection of maritime vessels in the face of geopolitical turbulence and challenges associated with the adoption of new technologies. The conference focused on the effectiveness of legal instruments designed to ensure the resilience of ports and maritime shipping, with particular emphasis on safeguarding the maritime interests of the Republic of Poland. The topics discussed align with the strategic directions of Polish maritime policy, highlighting the vital importance of the security of maritime critical infrastructure and shipping for socio-economic development, as well as for national security and defense.
