The University of Gdańsk is launching the third edition of the postgraduate program “Education for Sustainable Development: Offshore Wind Energy,” organized by the UG Centre for Sustainable Development and the UG Centre for the Maritime Economics Studies. This program holds significant potential, training personnel for one of the fastest-growing energy sectors in Poland, Europe, and the world.
During the course, participants explore topics such as offshore wind energy law, safety in the offshore wind sector, management of offshore wind energy potential, business risk management, energy generation control in offshore wind farms, maritime spatial planning, and the role of offshore wind energy in the energy transition. Graduates receive a certificate confirming the acquisition of learning outcomes- covering the knowledge, skills, and social competencies- required in the offshore wind energy industry. The “Education for Sustainable Development: Offshore Wind Energy” postgraduate program is designed for:
Employees of small, medium, and large enterprises, particularly in the energy and technology sectors
Public administration staff- especially those involved in energy, energy policy, investment, and project management- who wish to gain knowledge and skills regarding offshore wind energy law, maritime spatial planning, and the administrative processes associated with offshore wind investments, including communication and stakeholder relations
Staff from non-governmental organizations (NGOs) focused on marine renewable energy and environmental protection within the context of sustainable development
