On April 20, 2023, the 11th National Maritime Law Conference (OKPM)- titled “Prevention of Marine Pollution by Ships: MARPOL – 50 Years On and What Next?”- took place, organized by the Department of Maritime Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk (UG), the UG Centre for the Maritime Economics Studies, and the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) Gdańsk.

The 11th National Maritime Law Conference, “Prevention of Marine Pollution from Ships: MARPOL – 50 Years On and What Next?”, is dedicated to issues of significant importance to the modern approach to protecting the marine environment from ship-generated pollution and to the sustainable management of the World Ocean.
